GHIN Handicap System
GHIN membership is included as a member of Old Hickory and an active Handicap Index is required in order to play in our member events. If you need to get a GHIN # established we can get you all setup. Score posting season is March 1 thru November 14 and all 9 & 18 hole rounds should be posted in the system. Scores can be posted in the Golf Shop or via the GHIN Mobile App.
The Handicap committee will govern the GHIN System
Reciprocal Clubs
Play at reciprocal clubs must be arranged by the Golf Shop staff, cost is $20 per member and applicable guest fees when bringing non-members. Charges can be billed back to your Old Hickory account or paid by credit card.

Weekend Skins Game
The #1 tee is reserved for our Weekend Skins Game starting at 9:00 a.m. during the season and 9:30 in the off-season each weekend, unless another event is scheduled. To play in the game arrive prior to 9:00 a.m., check in with the Golf Shop and pay your $10 cash. The Golf Staff will help form groups as needed for those not having a game. Handicaps are used with a maximum of 14 shots given. Each shot is a ½ shot so a natural birdie beats a
net birdie. No strokes are given on the four Par 3 holes. Once all cards are in the skins will be determined and cash is paid out. Golf members age 18+ are eligible to participate. This is a members game, however one family guest can be invited, but they must participate in the game.
Hole in One Club
Each member of the HIOC is billed $5 per ace made by another member. The money collected is then applied to the members account as a promotional Credit. This credit can be used towards future Golf Shop, Bistro or Golf Discount Purchases. The credit is estimated between $1,200 – $1,300 dollars. If you are not a member of the HIOC and wish to be, please contact the Golf Shop or Linda Sturgill in Member Accounts.
Prize Fund
The prize fund is a pool of money that is collected and used to payout Golf Shop Credit Book purses for each member event throughout the season. The PF also covers the costs of our Champions Trophies that are presented at our annual awards dinner, as well as the Casino Night prizes that we give out that evening. Each membership is billed $100. The entire sum of the fund is paid out annually. In order to compete in club events, you must pay the annual prize fund and have an active GHIN handicap.
